Bruno was a professional advertising photographer from 1997-2009. He started assisting Jac de Villiers in 1995 while studying photography. Jac became his mentor and business partner, setting him up in a studio in Cape Town.

His photographic career earned him various accolades and awards both in South Africa and abroad. In 2003 he left his studio in Wesley Street, Gardens for Dublin, Ireland where he worked with agencies and clients in Europe before returning home to South Africa.
